The Worldwide Bi-metallic Collectors Club (WBCC) publishes the 600th issue of the "WBCC Newsmail"

What began on September 14th, 1996, with the first WBCC Newsmail, has reached the milestone of its 600th Newsmail on February 9th 2008. This means 600 weeks in a row publishing information about Bi- and Tri-metallic coins, medals and tokens, unique in the Internet. The WBCC Newsmail is composed with help from members of the Worldwide Bi-metallic Collectors Club.

The Worldwide Bi-metallic Collectors Club was started on the 14th September 1996 for those collectors worldwide interested in Bi-metallic coins, medals and tokens as a virtual place using the internet to pool information and communicate with like minded collectors. At the moment the WBCC has 449 members from 58 countries around the World. There are no fees. The WBCC is the very first Worldwide Collectors Club using the Internet.

WBCC Organization

The Focal Point of the club is Martin Peeters (WBCC@home.nl) in the Netherlands. Martin keeps the membership records and produces a weekly "WBCC Newsmail", which is send by E-mail to all members. In
addition, he also produces a catalogue of all known Bi-metallic coins and tokens. This catalog is continually updated and send free by E-mail as an attached Excel-file, Frans Dubois (dubois.f@wxs.nl) in the Netherlands runs the WBCC Documentation Centre and can provide information on where most items were produced ,as well as, purchased.

Cliff Anderson (cliff38@earthlink.net) in New Orleans, USA is our WBCC Public Relations representative. Cliff has an ability to track down difficult Bi-metallics and the charter to promote the WBCC in any way possible. Paul Baker (85@wbcc.fsnet.co.uk) in the UK has been assigned to handle the WBCC Research Centre. Paul does his best to research Bi-metallics in general and also to research Bi-metallic varieties. Jack Hepler (hepler@juno.com) in the US is the WBCC Developement Centre, Jack developes new ideas for the WBCC. Rod Sell (rodsell@rodsell.com) in Australia, hosts and maintains the WBCC Website. If you have an image of any Bi-metallic coin that is not shown in any of the WBCC Library pages, please send it to Rod, along with information about the coin (country, date, size, denomination and composition). It will be placed on the appropriate site page with credit given to the image provider. Rod runs also the club's "For Sale" page. Members may submit For Sale items information to Rod by email for listing in the your for sale items, and he will be happy to answer any questions concerning the For Sale items. Rod also manages the New Release section of the website. If you have an image of any bi-metallic coin that is not shown in any of the WBCC Library pages, please send it to Rod, along with information about the coin (country, date, size, denomination and composition).

WBCC Activities

A. Composing and distributing 'The World of Bi-metallics' catalogue every 4 months. Send for free by E-mail as an attached Excel-file
B. Weekly distribution of a "WBCC Newsmail" which is provided free to all members of the WBCC covering current and historical information of Bi-metallic items, trade lists, dealer lists and the latest member finds of circulating Bi-metallic varieties and errors.
